Overview

ZTE's mobile softswitch server ZXWN MSCS is the core control network element of ZTE mobile softswitch core network overall solutions, which provides call control and media gateway control function. ZXWN MSCS is based on the unified ALL-IP platform that can be used for various core networks, such as GSM, UMTS, and TD-SCDMA. It can smoothly evolve to IMS and provides complete solution to help operators to build a stable, reliable, low-TCO, and smooth evolution of the "green" mobile Communication Networks.

Features

Advanced system architecture
Design of ZXWN MSCS is strictly compliance to 3GPP R5/R6 standards. It provides downward compatible with the version of R4/R99 and can smooth upgrade to the version R7/R8.

Unified ALL-IP platform
ZXWN MSCS is based on ZTE unified ALL-IP platform. Based on this hardware system architecture, it can smoothly evolve to IMS.
The unified platform uses distributed processing architecture, supports high scalability and realizes smooth expansion.

Large capacity and high integration
ZXWN MSCS adopts the distributed processing architecture using a unified platform, which ensures high capacity and high level of integration, and reduces the number of nodes, CAPEX and OPEX.

Open interfaces, flexible networking
ZXWN MSCS provides the open and standard interfaces, which enables smooth evolution and expansion.
ZXWN MSCS both IP and TDM transmission, and provides wide range of TDM / IP / POS physical interfaces, including TDM E1/T1, SDH STM-1/STM-4, FE / GE, IP over E1, POS STM-1/STM-4 and so on, and meets different networking requirements.

High reliability
Excellent redundancy protection mechanism, realize multi-level backup mechanism and disaster redundancy solution for interface, board and NE, which ensures system reliability for hardware.
Multi-level overload control and alarm mechanism protect system from high load shock by stopping some services when system is overloaded, which further ensures system reliability for software.
