Overview

ZXSDR LTE BS8700 is the new generation distributed base station.

Values to Customer

Rapid Installation
Compact RRU design, Light and small, e.g. one R8890 supporting 3C3S

Supporting wall/pole/gantry mounted and on top of tower installation

IP65 protection class to withstand terrible environment

Saving Energy, Low Opex
Distributed BBU+RRU featuring in small size and light weight are easy for deployment.

Adopting standard MicroTCA architecture, with 2U in height and 19 inches in width, BBU is the smallest in the industry.

PA efficiency over 40% is industry leading. RRU adopts passive thermal dissipation design, so it is noiseless and power saving.
High-Reliability Multi-ModeBBU
ZTE BBU has hot-standby design for main control board and resource pool for baseband processing. Resources are shared between GSM and UMTS, even LTE.

Large Capacity, Easy Expansion
BS8800 provides large capacity and multi-band multi-mode solution. Expansion is achieved through software configuration thanks to MCPA technology.

Baseband Pooling
BS8800 supports baseband resource pooling function based on carriers. When FS and two or three BPLs are configured, one carrier can be flexibly mapped to any BPL board. However, at the beginning of LTE network deployment, ZTE recommends that only one BPL is configured in order to reduce the operator’s CAPEX investment.
